Why You Should Offer After-Care Information to Your Patients

Providing post-treatment or after-care information is becoming a regulatory requirement in many countries. The basic idea is to provide patients with written information in order to inform them additionally and to be able to review this after-care information at any time. These leaflets usually describe and advise what patients should or shouldn’t do after a treatment, what to expect,  possible side effects. The after-care information leaflet should also describe how to recognize alarming symptoms and subsequently how to act on it.

Many clinics use hard copy (printed) after-care leaflets. Updating, printing and organizing these leaflets are activities which nowadays could be avoided. Wouldn’t it be convenient and simple to be able to send your patients a PDF file containing this info attached to an email?
