Many aesthetic clinics offer both medical treatments and non-medical beauty services. Until now, that usually meant two separate systems, two sets of records, and two disconnected workflows. The upcoming Clinicminds release will change that.
The Reality of Running a Mixed Clinic
If you offer treatments like Botulinum Toxin and fillers alongside facials, waxing, or other beauty services, you know the friction this creates. Scheduling splits across tools. Patient records don’t tell the full story. Your team switches between platforms throughout the day.
Most practice management software was built for one type of clinic. Generic booking tools were designed for beauty salons and adapted for medical use as an afterthought. Hospital-grade systems are built for large institutions with dedicated IT teams. Neither was designed for the specialized aesthetic clinic that treats both medical and non-medical patients on the same day.
You end up adapting your workflow to fit the software available. That costs time, creates friction, and introduces small errors that come from moving information between systems never meant to work together.
Beauty and Medical Treatments, in One Place
Clinicminds will support non-medical beauty treatments alongside your existing medical workflow. Beauticians can schedule appointments, register treatments, write notes, and take payments, all within the same platform your medical team already uses.
The interface is deliberately lean. Beauty treatments use a simplified workflow built for speed and simplicity, without the clinical documentation fields that only apply to medical procedures. You get the right tool for each treatment type, without maintaining two platforms or training staff on both.
For clinics that combine medical and beauty services, this removes a genuine source of daily friction.
Note: this feature will be released in April 2026
Patients Notice the Difference Too
A smoother clinic operation shows up in the patient experience. This release also introduces an improved patient form experience with a visual progress bar and auto-scrolling.
When patients complete their forms from home before an appointment, they arrive prepared. That saves time at reception and allows your team to focus on care rather than administration. An easier booking and onboarding flow also means fewer drop-offs. Patients who find the process clear are more likely to complete it.
These are not dramatic changes. But they are the kind of steady improvements that make a clinic feel well-run, from the patient’s perspective and from yours.
Better Internal Workflows
Clinical care depends on a well-run team, and that requires tools that match how a clinic actually works.
Two new task management features are now available. Quick Tasks let you create preset tasks that any team member can generate with a single click. If your clinic follows a consistent post-treatment workflow, checking in with patients, completing documentation, and scheduling follow-ups, Quick Taks removes the need to recreate those tasks every time. Private tasks let individual team members manage confidential items that should not appear on shared lists.
Medical Weight-loss
For medical weight-loss clinics, three new body composition measurements are now available: body fat percentage, visceral fat, and muscle mass. They integrate with the existing measurement history and chart view, so you can monitor patient progress over time without switching tools or maintaining a separate record.
A Scheduler That Handles More
The online scheduler has received usability improvements for patients booking on smartphones, along with added protection against spam bookings. A near-invisible captcha and rate-limiting prevent automated abuse without adding friction for real patients. When a booking fails, a short error code now helps you understand why.
These are the kinds of details that protect your clinic’s operations without requiring you to think about them.
One Platform Built for the Way You Work
The clinics that run well are not always the ones using the most software. They are the ones using the right software, a platform designed for the specific demands of a specialized aesthetic practice.
If your current setup involves switching between systems, relying on a tool that was not built for your type of clinic, or managing records that do not reflect the full picture of each patient, it may be worth taking a closer look at what a purpose-built platform makes possible.
